May 2014 Key Assessment
Members wishing to have a key to the clubhouse must first satisfy the committee that they have the skills, knowledge and experience to paddle independently.
It is expected that members applying for a key should be able to paddle to a minimum of 1 star standard, and have a knowledge of the Club's rules.
Key assessments will last approximately 45 minutes, and will assess the member's ability to control the boat, as well as to rescue themselves and all their equipment following a capsize.
The 'cost' of the assessment incorporates the previous key deposit (which is refundable when a member leaves the club).
