Second 2019 Spring Sailing Weekend: 26-28 April - Solent £145pp
For the Spring weekends the Club books the boats and puts together balanced crews of both experienced sailors and beginners, with a listed Club Skipper and Mate. This weekend is based out of Port Hamble marina in the Solent, and embarks on Thursday evening 25th April 2019 and disembarks on Sunday afternoon 28th April 2019.
Much of our sailing on the Solent comprises fairly gentle sails around and between the various coastal and Isle of Wight harbours but, wind and tide permitting, rather longer passages are possible to build some miles. If you have a preference for the type of sailing you'd like to do, please note it in the relevant place on the booking form. Similarly if you have any other preferences such as specific people you would (or would not) like to sail with, please note that in the Further Information / Preferences box. We will try to accommodate your preferences although that cannot be guaranteed and the selection of a balanced crew and the passage plan are ultimately the Skipper's decisions.
The cost of this weekend is £145per person for the charter, plus the costs of food, diesel and marina fees, which will be divided equally between the whole crew. A security deposit of £1000 per boat (£1500 for some 8-berth boats) is payable on boarding and is also divided equally between the whole crew and returned subject to the boat being returned in a condition satisfactory to the charter company. (Most skippers will be happy to hold your personal cheque and return it to you or cash it only if necessary.)
The closing date for bookings is Monday 25th March 2019.
