New Member Introduction session

A session for those who want to join the club who have paddled regularly before / are already experienced paddlers.

If you have not paddled before then this is not the course for you! Go to the 'Beginners' courses

You will go out on the river in a kayak with a coach who will assess your ability to control a short white water boat and be safe on the river. Come prepared to get wet as we will ask you to capsize your boat and rescue yourself to the bank wearing a nylon spray-deck (or you may do an Eskimo roll if you prefer). Once back in the clubhouse the coach will advise you if you are free to join the club straight away or need further instruction. The session will also tell you how the club operates and the different activities the club offers.
