August Regatta, K1 Open and Vareo Inlands - 2025
With a great turnout in 2024, we are looking to welcome clubs from all over the country to enjoy the beautiful water of Llyn Tegid. With the club bar open on the Saturday evening and local camping just next door, what is not to look forward to?
We currently have the K1 Fleet and the RS Vareo Inlands booked in for this event but welcome other fleets who would like to add this to their 2025 touring calendar.
We also have the Vareo's visiting for their Inland Championships.
Provisional planning is as follows:
– 3 Day Event
– 8 Races
– 1pm Start on Saturday
The regatta is open to all boats (including multihulls) with an established PY number and an overall length of not more than 20ft.
The RYA Portsmouth Yardstick scheme will be used for handicap racing.
Entries may be split into the following fleets.
- Fast Handicap Fleet : for boats with a PY up to and including 1099
- Slow Handicap Fleet : for boats with a PY from and including 1100
- Asymmetric fleet : for all Asymmetric boats.
- Class start for Vareos depending on entry numbers
- Class start for K1s depending on entry numbers
If there are insufficient entries in a fleet the Race Officer may decide to combine fleets together.
Entries by persons under 18 years of age must be countersigned by their parent or guardian
