Racking a boat from 1st April 2023 - 31st March 2024

The Small Print

Racking space is limited, and priority is given to boats used on a regular basis. Racking space is allocated for 12 months and boats may be moved at the discretion of the Harbour Master (with easy-access spaces prioritised for the most regular paddlers). Boats are left at the owner’s risk and the club will not be held liable for damage, loss or theft.

Boats that do not fit in our standard K1 / K2 racks

Please email us at kayak.racking@falconboatclub.org.uk before buying a racking space for such a boat. Such boats include touring or sea kayaks.

Multiple Boats

Racking a second boat costs more - this is to discourage the practice and free space for other members. NB: Holding Family Membership does not allow a member to claim multiple "1st" boat status. Racking three or more boats is no longer allowed.

Racking with Out of Port membership

We do not allow boat racking with this membership.

Abandoned Boats

Boats for which payment has not been received - or belonging to paddlers whose membership has lapsed - will be considered abandoned after 3 months. Falcon will use reasonable endeavours to contact the owner but should fees and / or membership remain outstanding after a further 3 months the boat will become property of Falcon Boat Club and may be sold or used as a club boat.
