The Royal Sutton Coldfield Orchestra was founded in 1975. With 50 members, it performs five concerts a year with a professional conductor and also maintains a successful separate Youth Orchestra. 

The theme of this concert is ‘Musical Tales’ - each piece tells a story: Humperdinck’s Hansel & Gretel Overture, Delius’s On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring, Bizet’s Carmen Suite, Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty Suite and Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances. 

There will also be a solo violinist playing Beethoven’s Romance and Saint-Saens’s Introduction & Rondo Capriccioso.
