The FORC Tulip Run

This popular club event has been held by the club since 2001.  A relaxed non-competitive road event gives you the opportunity to enjoy your car – of any age, whilst enjoying those lovely villages of ours that we normally bypass. 

For those of you that have not participated before you have missed good days out. We start from Harleston Magpies Hockey Club at Weybread where you can enjoy the traditional bacon roll with tea and coffee breakfast before you head off by following a route described in a specifically designed ’Tulip Route Book'.

This is not a race event but one of relaxed enjoyment with navigation from the tulip maps for the route for the day. For those that have not used this type of route book before don’t worry they are easy to understand. 

We avoid urban areas on the route, for most of the time anyway, and take in a mixture of ‘A’ ‘B’ and ‘C’ class roads. Total distance will be around 100 plus miles. You will have the opportunity to picnic in front of a historic house or use their tearoom facilities at the lunchtime stop. You will have tea/coffee and cake waiting for you at the interesting end stop where you can hear who managed to got lost and the wonderful reasons (mostly made up) as to why.
