The Paul Van Katwyk Memorial Easter Cycling Festival   iCal entry for this event

As a fitting memorial to Paul Van Katwyk who sadly passed away in February this years Easter Cycling Festival will be dedicated to Paul.


This years Easter Festival takes place on the 19th-22nd April with racing on all 4 days. 


We will be bringing you road races on the first and third days and TTs on the second and fourth day. Like last year, the GC will be decided on total elapsed time over the 4 events, both road races will also feature sprint laps with bonus seconds being awarded for the top 3 in each division as well as KOM points. 


There will be a Prizegiving presentation at Mint on the 22nd April after the race. GVC will have exclusive use of the lounge bar from 9.30am

Seniors A - 6 Laps 

Senior B/Vet A/ - 5 Laps

Ladies A/Vet B - 4 Laps 

Ladies B (Novice) 2 Laps 

All categories including Sprint Laps Road Race (46/39/31/16 Miles)


Stage Two 20 April 7.00am(Sign on 6:30) 10 Mile Time Trial - Meet at Cobo Car Park.


Stage Three 21 April 7.00am (Sign on 6:30)  6 April 7.00 am Talbot Loop

Seniors A -8 Laps 

Senior B/Vet A - 6 Laps

Ladies A/Vet B - 4 Laps

Ladies B (Novice) 2 Laps

All categories including Sprint Laps Road Race (42/31/21/11 Miles)


Stage Four 22 April 7:00am(sign on 6:30) Reservoir Circuit Time Trial (5 Miles for riders Under 14)


General classification will be on total elapsed time, rather than points. 


Top 3 in each sprint will receive time bonuses


There will be prize money, and 50% of all entries fees will be donated to Bulstrode House, cancer treatment centre. 


This years racing will be run under the new categories Senior A/B. Veterans A/B and Ladies A/B 



Stages 1 and 3 will be run under Guernsey Velo Club division rules. Non-Guernsey riders will be placed according to information available. Groups will start at one minute intervals and will not race against other groups.

Stage 2 Riders will start in reverse order to their standing in the GC - ie First place in GC will be last to start. 

Stage 4 Riders will start at 30 second intervals, with the field laid out as per Stage 2.


This event is open to non-members. You will also be able to pay £10 to race the individual events rather than all 4, although your results will not count for GC positions and you will not be eligible for any Sprint of KOM prizes.

N.B. Riders with work commitments on 20th and 22nd April may start first or last on request (please notify organisers when entering). Please note this concession is only open to riders with genuine work commitments.
Riders aged 12 - 15 have their own classification, but will only ride one lap in the first and third stages.

Minimum Age
The Guernsey Four-Day is open to riders at least 12 years of age
