CANCELLED - Annual Santa Paddle
Sorry - the Santa Paddle tomorrow is cancelled due to river levels and weather forecast. Whole we'd normally move this over to the canal, the forecast strong winds mena that carrying boats over to the canal would be difficult/hazardous.
Put on a Santa suit and come for a paddle!
Ok so you may have seen Santa Runs happening in various places where everyone puts on a Santa Suit and goes for a run. But why run when you can paddle? So we are going to do a Santa Splash!!
When: 1pm meet to start on the water at 1:30pm, until about 3pm.
What: It's a simple idea, get a Santa suit, put it on over your paddling kit and come paddling. We may even rustle up some mince pies for afterwards
Don't want to be Santa? Other festive fancy dress will do e.g. The Grinch, an Elf, Reindeers (team up with others and tow Santa in an open canoe?)
Just make sure your fancy dress is 'water resistant' and doesn't get in the way of your paddling (or getting out of a boat safely!)
Who is it for: All club members - we will have paddling on the flat water and white water. (Sorry but this is for existing paddlers)
Parking - it is likely to be busy in town so come early to find a parking space (try the industrial estate towards the cricket club).
