We organise a number of pool sessions throughout the winter months, usually after New Year

Members can either bring their own boats or hire from the club in the usual way.  In either case, please make sure that the boat has been thoroughly cleaned before it goes into the pool.

• There will be 10 pool sessions starting on Sunday 7th January 2024 and running for 10 weeks – the last session will be on Sunday 10th March 2024. 
• All the sessions will run from 2pm till 3pm and will be at the RGU pool at Garthdee.   I will be at RGU from about 1:45pm each day to get the boats in place.
• Each of the sessions are limited to maximum of 10 people using 5 sea kayaks, i.e. each kayak could be shared between two people - this is down to space in the RGU pool.
• There will be a minimum of two club kayaks present at each session - there will also be a collection of club kit for use during the sessions, though if you have your own kit please bring this along.
• You can bring your own kayak.  They must be washed down in clean water before they enter the pool, and must have their ends protected to prevent damage to the pool (foam pipe lagging works well).  Dirty boats will not get into the pool.
• The sessions are provided to allow you to develop new skills (or build on existing ones) in the safety of the pool environment.  There will be some guidance / coaching available over the course of the sessions.  If you have anything in particular you would like to work on during the sessions please advise and we will endeavour to accommodate this.
• Remember your one pound coins / shopping trolley tokens for the lockers.
• The cost per person for each session is £10.00 and this can be paid directly to the club account, or paid on the day of the session.  A reminder of these details are at the end of this email.
