Welcome to The London Art History Society

Study Days

The London Art History Society arranges Study Days to explore specific subjects in depth under the leadership of one or more expert lecturers. Recent examples include study days on Turner; Goya Portraits; The Architecture of Christopher Wren and a day studying Opus Anglicanum English Medieval Embroidery.

The topics range widely but we try to make them topical with subjects related to forthcoming exhibitions where appropriate.

The study days are held at various Central London locations, often either at The Conway Hall, Bloomsbury Baptist Church Hall or at the Keynes Library with permission from Birkbeck University. The days typically last for 6 hours including breaks for lunch and refreshments.
