Welcome to Llangollen Canoe Club

Monday River Sessions

Our Monday River Sessions take place on the river Dee during the spring and summer (the last Monday Evening session is normally at the end of September). We meet at Mile End Mill. Members of the club take part in peer paddles and freestyle fun and games. Coached sessions and river runs are available with Rafting and SUP on some evenings also.

Coached River Sessions are for MEMBERS ONLY but if you want to give it a go and you are not a member, you can book onto a taster session and just pay the session fee before you need to join the club. If you want to book a taster session please email: llangollencanoeclub@outlook.com

Costs include the TNR site fee for using Mile End Mill, you do not need to book this separately.

You need to bring lightweight thermal layers and lightweight shoes (you will get wet!) and a towel. We have windproof cags, some wetsuits and can provide boats, paddles, spray-decks, buoyancy aids, and helmets (there is a small fee of £2, make sure you book on Coached Session - club kit, if you want to use club kit.)

If you can’t make a session please email llangollencanoeclub@outlook.com as soon as possible and post something on the club Facebook page if possible to see if your place can be filled by someone else. If it can then a refund will be given.

Please note that sessions may be cancelled at any time depending on numbers and availability of coaches. So please check Facebook before leaving. If a session is cancelled you will receive a refund. Please remember that if you book a session and don't turn up the club still has to pay for coaches so we are unable to give refunds in these situations.

Please arrive promptly and be ready to get on the water at 18:30 (if using club kit please arrive at about 6 ish - the coach will not wait for you if you are late!

River Session rules:
1. Helmets and buoyancy aids must be worn by EVERYONE when on the river.
2. If you borrow club kit it is YOUR responsibility to put it away.
3. At the end of the session please help get all the kit back into the container ASAP.
4. Minimum age is 11 and parent/guardian MUST be at the riverside during the entire session and supervise their child changing. Younger children are allowed but must be supervised by a parent/guardian on the water - please speak to Jody or Martyn.

Please use the booking forms on the right to find further information and book your places on coached sessions. You will need to click on sign up (top right corner!) and follow instructions if you can't see any events on the right of the screen.
