Cider racking, orchard visit and scything   iCal entry for this event

Sunday September 10th

For the cider-making group, we plan to rack and package the remaining NCOG cider at Mosser.

Weather permitting, we will also provide demonstration of scything techniques plus an opportunity to practice and learn (including sharpening).

There will also be a short tour of the orchard and a discussion of varieties and management techniques (including summer pruning).

Cider packaging will start at 11am. If you are not a member of the cider-making group, you are still welcome to attend and see what it is about.

Scything will start at about 2pm.

Please bring your own lunch, but hot drinks, apple juice and cakes will be available (especially if there are a few cake donations!)

It would be really helpful if you can book the morning and/or afternoon below, so we have an idea of numbers.

LOCATION: The event will be at High Mosser Gate, Mosser near Cockermouth. See HERE for directions. The postcode is CA13 0SR, for SatNav slaves, but that leaves you at least half a mile away, depending on your SatNav. SatNav may also route you over completely unsuitable fell roads, so follow the main roads as per the directions!
