Family Sailing With Duties

1. Any genuine family unit, normally living at one address; married couples, unmarried partners, single parents and any related children under 18 years or in full-time education.
2. It is not intended for casual friends or unrelated helm/crews where both parties require a Single or Family Membership in their own right.
3. You will be expected to volunteer for various duties throughout the year -if you do not volunteer, you will be allocated duties.
4. There is an option to pay monthly. Please go to Family Sailing with Duties (monthly payments)
5. There is an option to pay to opt out of doing duties - this option should not be taken by members regularly sailing in races - please go the Family Sailing No Duties.
6. If joining after the end of March, there is a pro rata reduction to the end of December. 
7. The Pro Rata rate applies only in the first year of membership.

The monthly subscription will add up to £264 over the year - the one-off annual payment is £260. (This is to cover the charges for the Direct Debit). For existing members, you must add any months missed from January. New members will only need to pay from the first month of their membership.

If you wish to terminate your subscription before the end of the year, you will be expected to pay the amount due to the end of the year. The Club is always willing to consider waiving the fee if a valid case is made in writing for illness, hardship etc.

1. The Non Duty Option is intended to help members who, because of work or family commitments, cannot fulfil their duties, and is not intended for members who race regularly to pay to avoid fulfilling their duties.
2. Duties are not onerous and are an integral part of being a member, give you a chance to meet other members and see other sides of the club.
3. There is now an option to pay monthly. Please go to Family Sailing No Duties (Monthly Payments)
4. If joining partway through the year, there is a pro rata rate. This only applies during the first year of membership. see below

This is where you should register your interest in having a go at sailing with our sailability team. Your first session is free after which you will need to pay a small £8 fee to cover some of our costs. Please complete the form as accurately as possible so that we can carefully assess any special equipment or needs that we need to consider.

This subscription is available to those individuals who are under 25 who do not fit into the student category. It can be aone off or a monthly subscription

Radio Controlled Yachts

This membership is for those who wish to join the Radio Controlled Yacht section of the club but do not wish to go on the water otherwise.

The membership does include being expected to do some volunteering duties.

The membership does include access to all the benefits of the club that a social member might have.

Associate Member

For sailors living more than 100 miles away from the club who only occasionally visit the club.

For individual members wishing to pay the difference to change to a non duty membership

Junior Cadet

1. A Junior Cadet member under 14 
2. A parent or responsible adult must be present at all times that a Junior Cadet is on club premises
3. At least one parent must be a member either an Individual Sailing Member or Individual or Family Social Membership 
4. IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY SAILING MEMBERSHIP YOU DO NOT NEED THIS 
5. If you want cadet training please sign up under events on the front page of webcollect.
6. This does not include the Monday evening Cadet sessions, which are an additional cost.

Senior Cadet

• Young person 14 –18, with Parent or Guardian member with permission to be unaccompanied at events. 
• At least one parent must be a member of the club, either as an Individual sailing member or as a Social Member
• IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY SAILING MEMBERSHIP YOU DO NOT NEED THIS 
• If you want cadet training please sign up under events on the front page of webcollect.

Student Sailing

1. Individuals in Full-time Education or formal apprenticeship over 18 
2. If parents are Family Sailing Members you will be included in their membership
3. Students are not obliged to volunteer for duties but will be welcome to do so.

If at least one family member is keen to support the club by volunteering to help with the sailing events, social events or general maintenance you may in subsequent years apply for a Family Social with Duties.

We would like our social members to have some interest in water sports, however casual that might be.

All membership applications are subject to acceptance by the Board of Directors, and it may take a few days for membership to be processed.

Includes the use of a boat park space, and rights to sail the boat at the Club.

PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST HAVE A SAILING MEMBERSHIP TO HAVE A BERTH

• If you are taking out a sailing membership on a monthly direct debit during January you can opt to add this to your monthly payments by going to Boat Berths Monthly Payments. 
• Alternatively, you can pay this as a lump sum.
• If you are taking out a berth after 1st June the cost will be £50 to the end of December.
• There is no arrangement being made for monthly payments after January.

2. Your Berth Fees will be added at checkout
3. Monthly fees operate on an annual basis from January to December.
4. Monthly fees add to £90 for the year compared to £85 for a one off a payment.

Road Trailer berth

Any Road trailers occupying a space at the club will need to be paid for.

Kayak/Canoe/Board

Storage of Kayak, Canoe or Board at one of our sites. Please provide your own security -preferably a combination lock and register your lock number on the form in case we need to move for maintenance ,

Large boats on Trailers

For members who wish to store their Yachts or motor boats at the club. For active members in the club there is a 50% reduction in the fees.

Piddinghoe Caravan

Four spaces are available for members to store their caravans at Piddinghoe. The rate is £540 for the year. There is a monthly payment option of £45 per month which adds to £540 pa . If the caravan is used on-site the camping fee per night will still apply. Storing a caravan is considered a privilege and owners of caravans stored are expected to contribute to the duties or maintenance of facilities throughout the year

Piddinghoe Caravan monthly

You must have organised with the Rear Commodore Piddinghoe to berth your caravan at Piddinghoe. The charge is £480 for the year or £40 per month which equals £480. Storing a caravan is considered a privilege and caravan owners are expected to contribute to volunteering to duties or maintenace of facilities through out the year. 

You are expected to pay the camping fee for every night that you spend in the caravan.

4. If you are a member of this group you are expected to look after the boats and the kit responsibly and to affect any minor repairs you spot and report any other issues to the bosun.
5. This add-on can be added to a monthly membership payment if you have opted for this method of paying for your main membership. You need to go to - Boat Hire (Monthly Payments) option. 
6. This subscription runs for a full year and renews automatically unless notice is given to quit.
