OPERA Online ZOOM Seminar - 'Incident Investigation'

TO BE HELD ONLINE VIA ZOOM - Invite link will be sent to all registered attendees nearer to the time of the presentation itself.

Speaker: Roger Stokes, BakerRisk Europe

Presentation synopsis:

The presentation comprises a brief introduction to incident investigation, including why we investigate, the stakeholders involved and their different agendas, the investigation process, terminology, causes and root causes.

This is followed by a case study that includes a timeline, building a simple fault tree, a description of the scientific method and its application, use of subject matter experts and the benefit of drilling down to establish root causes.  This leads to the identification of recommendations and lessons learned.

Finally there is a brief overview of investigation pitfalls and tips.

The presentation should be of interest to claims investigators, claims handlers, risk engineers and underwriters.
