Welcome to Waveney Valley Canoe Club
Waveney Valley Canoe Club has existed for over sixty years. Our membership is made up of family groups and individual adults and children.
On this site non-members can sign up for free taster sessions and/or apply for membership.
Existing members can renew their subscription, access their membership account, and search for and enrol on training courses, club trips and social events.
WVCC runs training courses on the river Waveney in the summer months. We hold swimming pool sessions in both winter and summer when members can develop kayaking skills and consult club coaches if they want support or advice. Throughout the summer we have informal paddling sessions for members one evening each week offering the opportunity to practice skills and enjoy kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding with other paddlers.
The Club organises a variety of trips including; touring, white water and sea kayaking. These can be day trips, on local rivers, the Broads or East Anglian coastal waters and estuaries or others farther afield to artificial white water venues. We also stay over night at camp sites or use bunk house facilities to paddle some classic British rivers such as the Wye, Dee and Tryweryn.

To find out more about the club or have a go at paddling, you can sign up for a free introductory 'Taster' session when one of our coaches will introduce you to paddling and supervise you during the session.
New members, who are novice paddlers will be asked to undertake a beginner's training course to ensure you are safe and confident when you are on the water.
