RYA Powerboat Level 2 (PB2) a two day course
Interested in learning powerboating or perfecting your skills and safety when on the water?
This course will introduce the newcomer or a way to brush up old faded skills to handling a fast planing power boat, including, boat and pre-launch checks, basic powerboat handling skills at both low and planning speed and how to plan a short coastal passage. This course is the minimum level required to drive a club powerboat. Training and assessment is generally carried out in the fast planning rigid-hull inflatable boats, but we will also use the tiller steered Sparfel boats. All participants must supply a passport sized photograph at the start of the course. Anyone successfully completing the course will receive the RYA Powerboat Level 2 (PB2) certificate.
The pricing shown is for 3 participants. There may be higher cost if just 2 participants.
Please note: The course fee includes temporary membership if you are not already a member of DYC. To ensure a place on a course, please pay using either bank transfer, online direct debit or PayPal. If you pay with cheque or cash, your place will only be confirmed once your payment has been received by DYC.
