Abseiling - Family Plus Session

Suitable For: Everyone! Juniors & Families Welcome.

Minimum Age: 5.

Start: 6.30, but please arrive no later than 6.15pm

Finish: Between 7.30 and 8pm.

Details

Abseiling provides a fantastic opportunity to try your head with heights. The adrenaline you feel as you lean back and learn to trust your equipment leaves you with a lasting memory you can hold for the rest of your life. You’ll never forget your first abseil.

LOPC have a 6.5m abseil with a sloping wall, ideal for anyone who’s a little nervous with heights, or younger children as this has an aged limit of 5 years and upwards.

Parents welcome, either to watch or to take part.

Note: The activity may be subject to change in the unlikely event that LOPC need to book the facilities. In that case another plus activity will replace it.

What to wear

Close fitting clothing is recommended, particularly on the upper body and arms. Trousers and lightweight shoes are also recommended. Clean shoes for climbing sessions. Long hair should be tied back and jewellery removed. Usually outdoors so dress for the weather on the day.

Costs

£6 per person.

The coach is fully qualified for this activity, and is volunteering his time on the promise of free tea and fun. The cost is slightly higher than a normal Thursday session as we pay LOPC a (reduced) fee for use of the equipment.
