Stand Up Paddleboard Introduction 2019
This 3 hour introduction to Stand Up Paddle Boarding or ‘SUP’ will cover all of the basics to get you started in the sport. From carrying and launching to practical paddling techniques and safety on the water, by the end of this course you should be happy in the basics of using these boards. We have a small selection of inflatable and rigid boards*, if you have your own board you will be welcome to use it (subject to our inspection). Completion of this course is a prerequisite to using SUP boards on the reservoir. This can be done during our ‘Supervised Sessions’ or through the Canoe Club (subject to membership). You may also qualify for the British Canoeing “Paddle Discover” award on SUP.
*Due to the nature of our current fleet of boards, we can only accommodate people weighing up to 110kg
