Course Dates for 2019:

  • Sunday 27th January 2019 – White Water Award Intro at Phoenix CC  – Open to Club Members only – Registration Fee – £30 for BC Members / £40 for non-BC Members. This introduction covers the flat water parts of the award and includes some theory training on white water paddling. The cost includes the BC fee for the award including a downloadable Certificate and registration on the database. To complete the award you need to book onto white water trips that we are running throughout the year and we would recommend trips to the Derwent, Wye, Dart Loop, Lower Tryweryn and Lee Valley. When we feel you are at the required standard, we will assess you and if successful, register the award with British Canoeing. The amount of training you require will depend on your current ability and readiness to learn and progress. You will need to be able to roll your kayak as part of the assessment.
  • Saturday 6th April 2019 – Whitewater Intro – River Derwent –  Cost £30 including transport

Location: Phoenix Canoe Club
