Frostbite Series for Visitors - 2024
Restronguet SC runs a popular Frostbite series in November to December and the series is open to visitors. This year there is racing planned for 7 Sundays.
Dates/times: On the following Sundays there are 2 standard club races, with the first warning signal at 1300: 3rd Nov, 10th Nov, 17th Nov, 24th Nov, 1st Dec and 8th Dec . On 15th Dec is the Christmas Pudding Pursuit race.
Cost: is £27 per boat including helm and crew or £15 for under 18s. Existing RSC Members who have completed a Club Series Racing Entry for 2024 are already registered for the Frostbite series and do not need to enter this event separately. Note that entry is non-refundable, unless no racing takes place.
Storage: RSC has limited spaces for visitor dinghies (monohull only), dependent on existing members vacating spaces for the winter. If you do want to bring a monohull dinghy down then email the club at RSCsteward@outlook.com to check space availability in the dinghy park. All dinghies must be removed by the 19th December 2024.
There is generally (dependent on tide) room on the beach to rig a towed dinghy but you cannot leave the car or trailer on the beach while you sail!

Club members: are automatically entered for the Frostbite Series if they have registered for club racing.
RS200 training: Visiting RS200 sailors can join in training on the Sunday mornings. This may not occur every weekend of the Frostbite. For more details about RS200 training (including costs) and contact details go to https://www.restronguetsc.org/visitors/285-frostbite-series-2023 Note that any under 18 sailors wishing to take part in training need to have a completed parental consent form, which needs to be given to the coach. You don't need to fill in separate forms for training and racing.
