Richmond Canoe Club welcomes new members with an interest in competitive paddle sport. If you would like to join the canoe club select a membership type below, and proceed to checkout. If you have any queries about membership please contact membership@richmondcanoe.club
All new members are required to pay a one off joining fee of £50. Please select this product from the options below alongside the relevant subscription. We will be unable to approve applications where this has not been selected. Your membership cannot be processed unless this payment is made.
Some specific items to note:
- All new members need to have a club coach named on their membership application, who has assessed their ability to join the club, and have to be formally approved by the Committee.
- The club's membership year runs from the 1st November to the 31st October. If you join mid way through this time period you will pay a reduced rate according to how far through the membership year it is.
Availability of Key Fobs
The ethos at Richmond Canoe Club is to encourage greater club participation such as in arranged training groups, club days and other times when the club is normally open. With this principal in mind, the default position is that members will not be issued with a key fob until they are integrated into the fabric of Richmond canoe club, i.e. are participating in club sessions and events. Key fobs are not issued as of right. Broadly speaking key fobs are an earned consequence of evidence of commitment to and a sense of responsibility towards the club.
Boat rack allocations
If you do not already have a rack you need to fill in this form to request one.
Once there is a space available you will be informed and only then you can move your boat in.

Full Adult Membership is open to all persons aged 18 years of age or over.
Partner of Full Adult Membership is open to a spouse or partner of a full member.
Senior Membership is open to any person aged 60 years of age or over at the time of election or at the start of a membership year (1st November).
Student Membership is open to any person aged 18 years or over who is a full time student and can produce an NUS card or an equivalent form of student status identification. A student member shall have the same rights as a full member.
Junior Membership - Monthly Subscription

Payment is due for each boat stored at the Club. Each member is entitled to one boat storage at the reduced amount, all additional boats will be charged the higher amount.

Associate Membership is a limited membership of the club. Associate members do not have the right to vote, be eligible election to the General Committee or for appointment to the board of directors of the Club. Associate members do have access to the Club premises when open but may not possess keys to the Club premises or use any canoe owned by the Club.
Out of Port membership is open to a person either:
- previously a full member or junior member who no longer participates in the club activities or uses the Club premises and equipment on a regular basis but who wishes to continue to be affiliated with the Club and race for the Club; or
- a person who is a member of another canoe club but who wishes to use the Club facilities and who the Committee has agreed may use the Club facilities.
Social Membership is open to the following persons:
- Anyone who does not wish to use the Club for canoeing or training purposes;
- Past full or junior members of the Club who have moved beyond the reach of normal Club activities, but wish to retain their connection with the Club;
- The parent or guardian of a junior member under 18 years, where the parent or guardian is not a full member.
Temporary Visitor Monthly Pass
Period: 31This is a temporary monthly pass for paddlers visiting for a short while who wish to use the club facilities without purchasing a full membership e.g. visitors from overseas. Please select the number of months you need from the quantity option.
Joining Fee
Period: 1All new members (including social members) are required to pay a one-off joining fee of £50.

Annual End Date: 31st OctoberFull Adult Membership is open to all persons aged 18 years of age or over.
