The Anglesey Offshore Dinghy Race
The event will take place on Sunday 13th August 2023
contact aodr@redwharfbaysc.co.uk for further details
The 2023 AODR from Beaumaris to Traeth Bychan will be taking place on Sunday 13th August starting at 11am.
This iconic race, first run in 1965, will be open to monohulls with a Portsmouth Yardstick of 1142 or lower and to multihulls with a PY of 926 or lower. We restricted entries to boats of this speed (a Solo and a Dart 15 respectively are the slowest permitted) for safety reasons - not that the slower boats are any the less well sailed but we wish to keep the fleet relatively condensed in order to be able to provide adequate safety cover. We hope, shortly, to be able to let you know the headline sponsor for the event and to be able to confirm that it will be part of the prestigious Allen Endurance Series [link to : https://www.allenbrothers.co.uk/2023/01/16/about-allen-endurance-series/] We also hope to have a full weekend of open sailing and socials - all this yet to be discussed and arranged.
More details will be available soon but in the meantime please hold the date.
If you have any questions or would like to be involved please contact :
