School Associates Sign Up

Salterns Sailing Club are delighted to welcome your child to Salterns as an Associate Member, and we hope your child has a fabulous season on the water at Eight Acre Pond.

Your Associate Member club coordinator would have already updated you on the changes for Associate Members sailing slots going forward, and these will be fully explained within the Affiliate Groups Information Pack which you will receive upon sign up. However, the important updates are listed below: 

• Associate Member Groups are allocated a weekly time slot, and you will be designated a slipway/pontoon. 

• You will be purchasing an Associate Membership for your child to sail in an allocated time slot within your Affiliate Group slot during from after Easter school holidays, May, to October.

• Please note that during your Associate slot, you do not have exclusive use of the club and Salterns Full Member families may also be in attendance, albeit on a different slipway/ pontoon and perhaps using different boats.

• Sessions for School Affiliate Groups run only during term time and, for those groups, use of the Club (and its parking facilities) is not permitted in school holidays

• Associate Member (child sailor) should be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian.

• Except for an adult acting in loco parentis, who are attending the club in order to supervise the Associate Member (and who should sign the guest book accordingly), guests of Associate Members are not permitted.

• Siblings of Associate Members may not participate (even as guests or helpers) unless also an Associate Member.

• Salterns Sailing Club do not offer refunds or pro-rota rates, which is also applicable to Associate Members.
