Community Basketball Sessions – Sundays - Open to All Abilities
Priority Booking
Current Spartans players attending the Summer Term have priority booking for the upcoming Autumn term.
Any remaining places will be offered to families on our waiting list and the general public from Monday 27th July, subject to availability.
About Our Sessions
Our Sunday Community Basketball Sessions provide a fun, active and supportive environment where children can learn, develop and enjoy basketball, regardless of previous experience.
Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time or already plays for a team, every session is designed to improve skills, build confidence and encourage teamwork through high-quality coaching and enjoyable activities.
Led by Basketball England Children's Coach of the Year (London), Coach Wayne Martin, alongside the Spartans coaching team, players benefit from structured coaching that develops strong basketball fundamentals while ensuring every session is enjoyable, engaging and challenging.
*NEW! Spartans League*
Twice a half term, our regular coaching session becomes Tournament Days.
Players are placed into balanced teams and compete in a series of games throughout the session, giving them the opportunity to put the skills they've been learning into practice in a fun, competitive environment.
Teams earn points throughout the term, with the winning team from each Saturday session progressing to the Spartans League Finals at the end of the term, where they will have the opportunity to face the champions from one of our other weekly sessions to compete for the title of Spartans League Champions.
The Spartans League has been introduced to:
- Give every player regular game experience
- Encourage teamwork, communication and sportsmanship
- Build confidence in a supportive competitive environment
- Reward effort, improvement and teamwork—not just ability
- Make every fourth week something players look forward to
Please note: The Spartans League will only take place if the minimum number of player registrations is reached for the relevant session. Spartans Basketball Academy reserves the right to amend or withdraw the Spartans League format where minimum numbers are not met.

Parking
Free parking is available on site.
Booking Information
To book your child's place, click 'Add to Basket', proceed to Checkout, and follow the instructions.
- Payment is required at the time of booking
- Places are only confirmed once payment has been received
- Bookings without immediate payment will be cancelled
- All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable
Annual Membership
All new participants joining Spartans Basketball Academy from 1 September 2025 are required to purchase an annual membership (£24), valid until 31 August 2026.
The membership fee and annual membership form must be completed alongside your term booking.
Children cannot participate until both the membership form and payment have been received.
Attendance & Cancellation Policy
All bookings are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to other Spartans sessions.
Your booking guarantees a minimum of 10 coaching sessions during the term. If any session is cancelled by Spartans Basketball Academy, it will be rescheduled or replaced to ensure every term consists of at least 10 coaching sessions.
Spartans Training Kit
All players are required to wear a Spartans training t-shirt.
T-shirts are available to purchase online for £17 via the WebCollect homepage. Once ordered, they will be be available for collection at a training session. Please allow a few weeks for delivery.
