Friends & Families Day BBQ 2018
This is always a great event but only because so many members come along and join in. This year we are keen to open the day up to families and friends, just to show them what they are missing out on! The emphasis is on providing a relaxed day and as the title suggests a FUN one.
The outline plan is as follows, but it will be very flexible to respond to what people wish to do. Oh and of course the weather!
0930 meet in the club house for briefing, coffee, etc
1030-1230 on the water for a choice of stances including…race coaching, taster sessions, capsize practice, sailing improvement, Alpha sessions for the cadets / children, etc
1230-1330 lunch (Bring Your Own)
1400-1600 fun racing based on a relay type race (possibly changing over crews on the beach and/or using the life-raft. Fancy dress welcomed for crews and boats.
1730-2100 BBQ, salad and light dessert.
Please remember we need a few volunteers to man the Patrol Boat, help lead the morning sessions and prepare food for the evening.
