You can browse and/or apply for the the membership type and/or boats space options that you require below.
You will then be invited to visit the club for an informal visit, when you can ask any questions, be shown around and told how the club operates. Your application will also be presented to the committee at the next management meeting (monthly) for confirmation of membership.
Membership runs from the 1st January until the 31st December. Boat Spaces are available all year all or alternatively during the sailing season only.

Membership Categories
A FULL MEMBER - which expression shall include one person and his/her partner and any of his/her children that are younger than twenty-five years of age and undergoing a full-time, unpaid, course of training – shall have one vote.
A STUDENT MEMBER - being a person who, at the date of election or renewal, is between the ages of eighteen and twenty-four years inclusive and undergoing a full-time, unpaid, course of training - shall have one vote.
A CADET MEMBER - being a person who, at the date of election or renewal, is under the age of age of eighteen and undergoing a full-time, unpaid, course of training.
A SENIOR MEMBER – being a person who has been a longstanding and active sailing member, but has retired from regular sailing. This category of membership shall have one vote, but is not entitled to a boat space. It is only available at renewal and following an application.
Email Addresses
All club communication is done electronically. It is therefore important that you maintain an active email account, as entered into the WebCollect system. If you change your email address on WebCollect, please remember to inform the Membership Secretary
Fees
A 'one off'' Joining Fee is usually applicable when joining, however for the 2024 season this will be waived.
Membership Fees & Boat Space Fees have a pro-rata adjustment applied upon joining.

Duty Crews
One member from each membership (i.e. one per family) is obliged to carry out 5 Duty Crews per year. Duty Crews can be Beach Crew, Patrol Boat Driver/Crew, Tractor Driver, Officer of the Day/Deputy Officer of the Day. These occur on race days on Thursday evenings, Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. A substitute needs to be arranged if you are unable to attend.
Cadet Members and Student Members (away at university) are not required to carry out Duty Crews.
Boat Spaces
If you do not already own a boat, it is recommended that you do not purchase one until the Membership Secretary has confirmed that a boat space is available. Also, for Kayaks, please check with him before purchasing a space, as only a small number are available.

Kayak/Canoe (Max Length 3.5m but a few spaces upto 4.3m can be accomodated by prior arrangment.

Second Boat Spaces
Second Boat Spaces are limited to 10% of the available Boat Spaces.
'A second boat space will only be granted, after consideration by the committee. Preference will be given to applications where it is understood that both boats will have regular use by a second family member and/or the second boat will provide additional benefits to the club for cruising capacity and/or training’.
A second boat space premium applies to all Second Boat Spaces*. Second Boat Space Premium will remain, fixed at 0.5n of the Membership Fee (0.5n of a Medium Boat Space Fee).
* Boats deemed as children's boats (< 3.5 sq m) are not deemed as 'Second Boats' and do not attract the 'Second Boat Space' Premium.

Temporary Membership
