Membership categories and subscriptions are detailed below. The subscription year runs from March 1st to February 28th
Please note that the Club does not accept applications from Motor Cruisers.
Pro-rata rates are available for some subscriptions where members join part way through the year. These are shown in the tables headed Reduced pricing in first year. The rate applicable at the time a membership application is made is automatically shown below, and will be used when the subscription is selected and added to My Basket. Membership applications made in January and February include membership for the whole of the following subscription year.

Dinghy Berth (including Laser Racks)
Annual End Date: 28th Februarypro-rata price for 1/7 ⇒ 31/7
The Club Rules allow one berth per membership except for dinghies used by Juniors (The full fee is payable for the first berth even if it is used by a Junior).
It may be possible however to purchase additional berths if there is room in the dinghy park. Please contact the Membership Secretary for further information.
The maximum length of dinghy that can be accommodated is 5 metres (16ft). The only allowable Catamaran classes are Hurricane SX and Dart 18. The Club does not accommodate motorised craft.
Please note that if you want to leave your road trailer on site a separate subscription (below) must also be purchased

Rack Storage
Annual End Date: 28th FebruaryRacks can be purchased to store the following types of small craft
- Canoes / Kayaks
- Small boats such as Toppers, Oppies, RS Teras etc.
- Tenders - see note below
- Windsurfers / Paddleboards
Only Tenders associated with sailing yachts (i.e. yachts equipped with sails) moored on SYC or Powderham moorings can be accepted. Motor yachts are not accepted at the Club. Please note that the maximum length of tender that can be accommodated in the Tender racks is 9 feet (2.75m)

Road Trailer Storage
Annual End Date: 28th FebruaryBecause of limited space in the Trailer Park, the maximum length of trailer allowed is 5.2m. Single stacking trailers will need to be stacked on top of each other. Multi stacking trailers can not normally be accommodated, but may be at the Berth Marshals discretion if there is room in the trailer park. Box trailers are permitted for catamarans.
Road Trailers must be stored in the Trailer Park and MUST NOT be left under boats in the Dinghy Park.
This subscription is only available when an associated dinghy berth has been purchased.
Cruisers
Annual End Date: 28th FebruaryCruisers moored in the Perch Pool
Please remember to also select a subscription for a Tender (under Rack Storage) if you wish to store your Tender at the Club
Junior Training
Annual End Date: 28th FebruaryAnnual fee for Junior training
Cruiser Winter Storage
Period: 180Storage of cruisers during the the winter months October to March
Joining Fee
Period: 1A one off fee payable on joining the Club.
The fee includes one £10 refundable Gate Swipe Card Deposit.
Family Membership
Annual End Date: 28th Februarypro-rata price for 1/7 ⇒ 31/7
A family unit consisting of any combination of adult and partner, and all dependants up to and including the age of 21 on April 1st of the subscription year.

Student Membership

An individual who is in full-time education and aged 16 to 25 on April 1st of the subscription year and is not included within a Family Membership.

Senior Membership
Annual End Date: 28th February
A Member of the Club who is 65 years or older on April 1st of the subscription year and has been a Club Member for 10 years
Senior Membership shall include the partner of such a member and any children under the age of 21 (as for family membership).
Associate Membership
Annual End Date: 28th February
Either
A person who wishes to belong to the club and who would not normally sail,
or
A person who has been a member of the Club for at least 5 years and has a main residence not less than 90 miles from the club.

All new associate memberships will need to be approved individually by the General Committee
Winter Membership
Period: 180Available to existing members of RYA affiliated clubs
A individual member and crew who may visit the Club and have full use of the Club Facilities for the period from October to March inclusive.
Subject to availability, this membership category includes the use of a winter berth.

No Joining Fee is required with this membership category.
Clubhouse Hire
Period: 1Hire of the SYC clubhouse for part or whole day.
Please do not forget to add the Refundable Security Deposit.
