Families or couples: please add to your basket a separate membership for each person.

 

When the first adult buys 'Adult + Partner / Family' Membership, all other family members are free. However you still need to 'buy' their free subscriptions (scroll to the appropriate subscription and select the £0 option) so that we have their details.

 

Consider how to minimise your outlay.  For example: A Full Member with up to two Cadets will find it cheaper to join as a Single Adult and pay for the Cadet(s), whereas a Full Member with a partner and two Cadets will find 'Adult + Family' Membership (with free second adult and Cadets) the cheaper option.

Cadet Membership - Youth (16 & 17 years)

For an individual Cadet Member (with no parent or guardian in the club) aged between 16 and 17 years old at renewal. No parental membership is required but application must be made by the parent / guardian. Any member under the age of 18 at renewal must have a nominated adult who a) remains responsible and accountable for the member and b) agrees to and signs the parental consent & indemnity.

 

If you, the parent / guardian, are not a member and you are not joining:

  • Please select this subscription and go to checkout.
  • Sign in, or create an account, in your own name then follow the prompts.

You will be presented with a basic membership form in which to enter your own details just so that we have them on file (it does not mean you are joining SBSC). There will then be a second membership form for you to fill in on behalf of your Cadet - Youth.

For anyone over the age of 18 who wishes to make use of the club facilities and events from a social perspective, but who will not take part in regular sailing.

A discounted rate is available to the partner of a Full or Social Member who is paying the full rate (application should be made by the Member on behalf of their partner).

If buying 'Adult + Family' membership, just add your partner as a second Full Member above (no charge).

 

Free subscription for over 80s is available only to those who have been a member for at least 3 years.

Subscriptions in this section apply to an existing Life Member

As a Life Member your membership is free. However we do ask you to 'buy' it (select the £0 option) so that we have up to date details for you.

 

An active sailing Life Member is expected to do duties but can optionally be released on an annual basis from club duties on payment of duty opt-out surcharge which can be selected further down this page  (Life Members who plan to only use the club on a social basis during the membership year should advise the club administrator accordingly.)

Berthing fees are payable for any boat, sailboard or kayak stored at the club. 

 

Berths are allocated and retention of a berth is not guaranteed unless renewal fees are paid by 1st March.

 

For new members payment of a Berthing Fee does not guarantee the allocation of a berth and you may be placed on a waiting list.  New members are advised to discuss requirements directly with the club administrator.

It is a condition of membership that all members, except Honorary and Social, undertake duties for the running and maintenance of the Club and its sailing programme.
