Welcome to Axe Vale Canoe Club
Axe Vale Canoe Club is based in Seaton, Devon and offers a wide variety of canoeing disciplines including: touring, white water and sea paddling, in both canoes and kayaks.
We have a range of fully equipped canoes and kayaks including all the personal kit to go with them: buoyancy aids, cags, spray decks, helmets and over trousers. The club house has hot showers and facilities for refreshments.
We generally have over 100 members but are always looking to include new members to strengthen the club and provide you with new skills and an enjoyable time paddling.
Membership
Membership covers:
Use of the club's facilities (club house, changing rooms, showers, etc.) and Wednesday evening club sessions, plus follow-on Tuesday/Friday sessions. Ability to join in club trips and events. We keep the membership fee as low as we can to cover our running costs and rely on the additional donations (see AVCC website Membership page) and the fees for courses we run to cover all the extras (e.g. boats, equipment, etc.). All our coaches and supporters are volunteers.
Subscriptions are renewable on 1st April each year. By becoming a member of the club, you agree to the club's rules and policies (see AVCC website Members and Membership pages). If you are a parent of a youth member, you also agree to the Parental Responsibilities listed there.
(GDPR Statement) We hold your data for contract purposes and will retain it as long as you are a member plus 3 years. We share data with WebCollect and statistical data with British Canoeing. We will contact you regarding membership, renewal, club events and trips - you can select how you are contacted on the membership form.
