RYA Powerboat 2 Handling
Bough Beech Sailing Club is very fortunate to have a group of qualified RYA instructors. Please remember that all Instructors at BBSC are volunteers who give their time freely.
Participants should be able to swim at least 25 metres and be confident in the water. They will require waterproofs and suitable footwear and must wear buoyancy aids/life jackets at all times on the water.
None. May be preceded by Level 1 Start Powerboating.

Launching and recovery, boat handling, securing to a buoy, anchoring, leaving and coming alongside, man overboard.
Self-sufficient powerboater in the right conditions, aware of own limitations and those of the craft.
Predominantly practical but with some classroom elements.
Booking Conditions:
- To be accepted on a course all participants must be members of Bough Beech Sailing Clubs.
- The booking form and declaration must be completed correctly and received by BBSC with full payment
- Cancellation by you: Fees are not refundable for any reason if cancelling within three weeks of the start of the course, cancellation before this date will result in a 50% refund, and cancellation 8 weeks or earlier will result in a 100% refund.
- Cancellation by us: Although BBSC will make every effort to run the courses as advertised the Club reserves the right to cancel a course at short notice due to reasons beyond our control. In this situation those booked on the course will be offered a similar alternative course on a different date or a full refund will be given. This shall be the limit of the clubs liability in this respect.
