Introduction to Beekeeping - 2026 (Bedford)
This course is suitable for beginners and new beekeepers. A series of 6 classroom based sessions will be held at Moggerhanger Village Hall covering basic theory of bees and beekeeping. The 2026 course sessions will take place from 7.30pm until 10pm (a break for coffee/tea is included) on 11th, 18th, 25th February, 11th, 18th March (Wednesdays) and Friday 27th March (note not consecutive weeks due to venue availability).
Once the weather improves, we move outside to our Bedford training apiary for practical experience throughout the spring and summer. Practical sessions are held on Sunday mornings (weather permitting).
The course fee includes all classroom and practical sessions as well as full membership of Bedfordshire Beekeepers Association until the end of 2026.
Please note that anyone under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult (please ask for details before joining the course).
