Start Sailing, RYA Level 1
The RYA Level One course is the perfect introduction to sailing and is for beginners with little or no previous dinghy sailing experience.
Duration: 3 days , but please note there is a "reserve" day that we may use if the weather is bad earlier in the course and we miss a sailing session.
Entry requirements: None
During the course you will learn all of the key skills required to get afloat and sail under supervision in light winds.
The course covers rigging the boat, sailing in all directions, launching and recovery and capsize recovery. Short shore based theory sessions will cover the basic equipment needed, tides and weather.
It is recommended that all participants consolidate this course with the RYA Level Two Basic Skills course.
You may either pay in full, or pay a £50 deposit to secure your place and can pay the balance later; either by Card or Bank Transfer.
Please note that the £50 deposit (or the first £50 if paid in full) is non-refundable if you cancel within 4 weeks of the course start date.
There is no charge if you have been given a gift-voucher for a course.
