London Blitz U16 taster sessons
After a successful 2026 campaign, which saw the squad make it to the semi-finals, the London Blitz U16 team, are starting pre-season try-outs for the 2027 season.
Sessions are open to anyone aged 13-15 years old (you must have been 15 on August 31st 2026 to be elligable, if you were older then you can play for the U19 team), and held at Finsbury Park in North London throughout September and October on Sundays from 10:30 to 12:30.
These sessons with be non-kit, meaning that no helmet or shoulder pads will be used, players will need a few items though:
- Suitable clothing - we play on grass and at this time of year it can be very soft, so boots are a must!
- Mouthguard - must be used in all training and games, a simple mouthguard you can buy from any sports shop is perfect (please make sure it is not clear though!)
Registration will take place in Room 5 at Finsbury Park Stadium at 10:30. After three training sessions players must be registered with the league (www.britishamericanfootbal.org), each training sessions will cost £1, but once you have paid your annual club fee all training sessions are free.
