Hereford Weekend Trip on River Wye
This is a whole weekend trip camping at Hereford Rowing Club. https://www.herefordrc.co.uk/campsite Please book and pay for your own pitch, there are no marked pitches.
Paddling on the River Wye from Hereford to Ross-on-Wye. Saturday: launch from the campsite and paddle down to Tresseck campsite, Hoarwithy where we will leave our kayaks locked up with Hereford Canoe Hire and they will give us a lift back to Hereford for £5 per head.
Sunday: we drive our vehicles to Ross and get a lift to Tresseck by Hereford Canoe Hire to launch our boats and paddle to Ross where our vehicles are of course waiting. There will be a charge for launch and get out at Tresseck.
On Monday some of us will be moving on to Talybont-on-Usk and staying at Talybont Farm. https://www.talybontfarmcamping.co.uk/ for a a few nights, paddling on the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal and also some non paddling activities and rest days.
The trip fee of £10 is to cover the cost of Hereford Canoe Hire shuttling us, I am asking for this upfront so if people drop out the rest are not out of pocket.
Payment of the launching at Tresseck will be on the day.
