Paddle Safer Kayak Course
The Paddle Safer course is for anyone wanting to gain knowledge and raise their awareness of paddling safely in a sheltered water environment. The knowledge gained will mean they will be a valuable member of any paddling group.
The Paddle Safer Course is based on learning and encourages individuals to consider where they paddle, the equipment they use and provide practical solutions if they get into difficulty. The course covers 4 key modules:
- Equipment
- Environmental factors
- Planning
- Rescues
The first part of the course will be spent on land, you will then look at rescues on the water and you will get wet!
If you have your own kayak bring it along, otherwise club ones will be available for the on the water part.
