Team Racing Day - 2025
By popular demand we are running the 2025 team racing day on Saturday 14th June.
The event will be hosted by JC, start time 10:00.
We will be using the Hartley 12 and Hartley 10 boats depending on how many participants
The primary aim is the have fun and to give newer members the opportunity to have a go at racing and learn from more experienced club racers. Team racing differs from normal racing in that position is awarded to the “team” rather than the individual boats, ie if one team has a fast boat, but doesn’t look after the other two in their fleet – the team will not win and hence more about cooperation and sharing best practise within the team than individual racing.
The event is open to all and newer sailors/members are especially welcome to sail alongside and against some of the more experienced racers at the club.
The intention is to provide a light lunch for those taking part and the small entry fee is to cover costs.
Entries will close 9th June to give time to prepare food.
If you don't fancy racing, it will be great to get helpers on rescue/shore rigging/ results scribe etc... but please book a place or you will be left out of the food!
