"Discover Sailing" encourages you to try out sailing with a taster session!

At Conningbrook Lakes in Ashford we can offer sailing taster sessions over half term and in the summer holidays - just enquire via our website or by email.

Some Discover Sailing taster sessions for schoolchildren age 8-18 may be able to be offered during term time sessions especially during the Wednesday after school club at Conningbrook Lakes in Ashford - see Wednesday term dates for details and booking.

At Martello Lakes, Hythe, the team can offer sailing tasters most Sunday mornings. Simply enquire, and we will arrange a sailing taster with you. 

On MONDAY 5TH MAY 2025 we plan an Open Day at the Martello Lakes Hythe to enable lots of sailing tasters that day. Book via this webcollect calendar or contact us via cinqueportssailing@gmail.com

It's the perfect opportunity to invite friends and family to have a taster session. Team members will be on hand to help you and will be available to give boat rides for both adults, youth and children. A safety boat will be on the water for the tasters, and we will loan buoyancy aids to you.

On Bank Holiday Monday 5th May 2025, choose from a morning, early afternoon or mid afternoon session. Each session lasts up to an hour long, but shorter tasters are also possible. Some of the taster session may be shorebased to begin with to demonstrate how a sailing boat works.

Those who would like to pursue sailing further, have the opportunity to book a 2 day beginner's course. These are often held in the school half term and holidays or at weekends. Look out for RYA Stage 1 courses for kids/teens or RYA Level 1 course for adults/teens. Note: The OPEN DAY is open for adults, youth and kids (age 8+). You will be given temporary one day enrolment. Please fill in the form online with your booking. 

Participation forms may need to be completed on the day also if we need further details.

Reservations for the taster sessions can be made via the online calendar here - see the date Monday 5th May 2025 on the calendar to book. Sessions are subsidized and are £12 per person which helps cover insurance, fuel, session etc costs.
