What does the participant need to bring for the course/training?

Children & adults taking a course at Conningbrook Lakes should bring the following items with them for EACH course:

•  Old trainers that can get wet, or neoprene beach shoes
•  Large (swimming) towel
•  Shower gel / Shampoo
•  Returnable Pound coin for a locker to store items if needed
•  Suncream, sunhat and sailing gloves if needed
•  Packed lunch / snacks with a drink
•  Rash vest or polyester T Shirt if you have one (not vital, but can be worn as a top underneath a wetsuit)
•  Own wetsuit  (if you don't have your own, a wetsuit can be borrowed subject to  availability)
•  Own buoyancy aid (if you don't have your own, then a buoyancy aid can be borrowed  subject to availability)
• Warm clothes to wear during breaks and after sailing
• Swimming Costume 
• All your course / training forms if you still need to hand them in!
• ***Children/Youth must bring their own cycle helmet or watersports helmet to wear during sessions. Some helmets may be available via the Sailing School subject to availability*** Adults taking beginner sailing courses may like to consider wearing their own helmet.

Where to Meet

For your Course/Training, please come to the lakes at the start of the session. This is where parents should sign their children in and out of the session in our diary.

Parents/Guardians will be asked to leave a contact mobile/phone number on which they are available for the whole duration of their child's session.

Parents will also be asked to let us know of any medical conditions etc we need to know about that day for their child.

Adult sailors will also need to sign into the diary leaving information as above also.

At the end of the Course/Training

The Instructor will let parents know where parents should collect their children from. This may be from the lakes, or from the Julie Rose Stadium reception room area. Children need to be signed out of our diary before leaving with their parent/guardian.
