All courses include a variety of sailing based games to encourage practice afloat!

We can provide all equipment with the exception of footwear/gloves but an old pair of trainers will suffice.

Course assembles at 1800hrs and disperse approx 20:00 hrs (All sessions must be attended to complete the course)

Please note that our courses can be affected by the weather and can be cancelled at short notice if conditions are deemed unsuitable for beginners.

After the stage 1 course is completed Youth members can continue developing their skills on our highly popular Wednesday evenings (and play a lot of games in the process)

Stage 1

Introducing you to sailing

Assumed Knowledge – None

Duration – 10 Evenings

Minimum age – 8

Course content - Can steer when sailing and being towed, Can steer on a reach and go about (reach to reach), Understands the effect of basic boat controls, Understands the basic principles of stopping, controlling speed, getting out of irons and sailing games

Ability after course -Able to sail across the wind under instruction

Payment to be made on the day via Card or Bank transfer (Payment details to be sent out after booking)
