Winter Core Coaching - Block 2 (2026)
Core Training Programme Information
Key Dates:
Block 2: 21st/22nd February - 21st/22nd March 2026
We're delighted to offer coaching for:
8 years +: Bairns
12 years +: Alpine Race Training and Freestyle (park&pipe, jumps, bumps and tricks) will be available on a Sunday (subject to coach availability and trainees ability). All-Mountain will be available both Saturday and Sunday.
If you would like to discuss your child's group before booking please email membership@cairngormskiclub.co.uk.
Our training is delivered by a well-qualified and experienced coaching team, including Sophie Jacobs (Acting Head Coach), Jules Jennings, Craig Lamont, Roddy Hamilton, Angela Goodman, Peter Green and Ffion Townsend.
Pre-requisite Ski Ability:
All our trainees must already be able to ski plough-parallel in control of their speed and line on all Cairngorm Mountain terrain. They must also be able to use all the uplift independently. Environmental conditions on Cairngorm Mountain can be challenging at times, with high winds, low temperatures and poor visibility; trainees need to be physically and mentally prepared for this, with good, warm clothing and positive attitudes!
Costs:
5 weekends, one day per weekend £135
Refunds are only given in exceptional circumstances.
All trainees are required to wear a Club jacket. Pre-loved jackets are often available - post on our Facebook page. As an alternative, we are looking at bibs - so please don't worry if you can't source a CSC jacket. Please email membership@cairngormskiclub.co.uk if you need a ski club jacket.
We are also delighted to be able to offer training for children with additional needs, on a 1:4 basis (subject to coach availability). Children must already be able to ski to plough parallel level and use all of the Cairngorm Mountain uplift. To discuss this programme or for more information please contact membership@cairngormskiclub.co.uk
*Trainees must be members of the Club. We welcome new trainees, and you can book a trial session/weekend (£35/day) by emailing membership@cairngormskiclub.co.uk but after that you will need to join the Club and book a place on the programme for the remainder of the block.
*If conditions are not suitable on Cairngorm, on training days we will always try to offer a dry slope/dry land training option at Glenmore Lodge. We may also offer to move training to the Lecht Ski Centre, snow and conditions allowing, but this would incur additional costs for parents (a day pass per trainee).
A parent or guardian must be at Cairngorm Mountain Resort while the trainees are on the hill.
