August Antics 2017
LAST CHANCE TO BOOK! BOOKINGS REOPENED TILL 20 AUGUST!
Antics is our annual fun festival for young sailors at the club. Run over the August Bank Holiday, 26 & 27 August 2017, this is an excellent opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills and have fun on the water. There will be excellent training and excitement in Oppies, Teras and Toppers for everyone from beginners to experts.
The event is open to all junior/family members aged between 8 and 16 and there are 36 places available. If there are more applicants than this then priority will be given to August Antics first-timers. Numbers may have to be cut if insufficient volunteer RYA Dinghy Instructors are available. The closing date for applications is 31 July 2017 following which numbers and successful applicants will be confirmed.
The event is only possible with the assistance of parents and helpers: there are about as many helpers as there are sailors. Please use the online application form to indicate what help you can provide.
This year we are also running a 2-3 Day Race Training course for the more experienced sailors with RYA coaches giving technical advice to our young sailors as well as some theory. If you are interested please put on the entry for RYA Training for level of sailor.
For this course your child will NEED to provide his or her own boat if in a Topper. Feva sailors will need to book Sailing Club boats.
The cost of the event is a £45. Please fill in an application form for each sailor by 31 July 2017.
