10th Annual conference, 'Looking back, looking forward…..10 years of CwMAG’   iCal entry for this event

Tuesday 18th – Wednesday 19th October 2022

Conference, Evening Dinner & Workshop

It’s been 2 years....nearly 3 but this year we are back with the Clean Water Modelling 10th annual conference and we are raring to share this years’ special anniversary event with you.

We are returning to Nottingham, with a difference,  a change of venue to allow extra space and comfort, a special anniversary conference dinner, with guests, and all very close to the Best Western Plus for that centrally placed accommodation that previous delegates have come to enjoy.  Delegates can partake in all or some of the event with various attendance options, a pre conference evening and reasonably priced accommodation available where required.

Day 1: As ever day 1 is a day full of industry presentations.  From those at the outset of careers in the water industry, with new ideas and aspirations to our seasoned experienced professionals sharing the results of the tried and tested methods behind our everyday work. Our fantastic presenters will provide objectives and ideas with presentations ranging from ten minutes from those taking their first steps in presenting to twenty minutes plus with time for questions and opinion.

In the evening, we know that our delegates enjoy the conference dinner and the opportunity to sit down and catch up with colleagues in a more informal situation. This year is no exception to that with our anniversary conference dinner. Details are yet to be finalised as we are working on the finer points but we promise you something special, with plenty of time to check out what & who has changed over the last two years, so watch this space.

Day 2: is an in depth workshop, delving further into various practical perspectives of work enabling knowledge growth and practice. This year there will also be a focus around the “Clean water modelling guidance document” discussions and exercise led by various industry leading contributors. Your input is invaluable to the future of the Clean Water Modelling industry. We finish with a lunch at around 1pm.

Throughout we are supported by an array of industry representatives available for further discussion on industry operations and specialist updates.  With in depth knowledge and wisdom these representatives are the passion of the industry.

VENUE: Albert Hall Conference Centre Nottingham, a stone’s throw from our accommodation and a 5 minute walk from the market square or Royal Centre tram stop.  This historical Victorian building next to the Playhouse theatre epitomises the history of Nottingham with its modern facilities, open spaces and quiet work rooms. It is a 15 minute walk from the train or new coach station. For those preferring use of the tram from the train station it is 2 stops to the market square or 3 to the Royal Centre.  For drivers, access is best via junction 26 of the M1 and parking is arranged for those staying over at Mount Street car park. The venue has a special rate arranged, currently £6.50 (subject to updates) for 24 hours. For day delegates, on-street parking is also available outside the venue on North Circus Street or Wellington Circus subject to street meter charges but currently free after 6pm.
