CwMAG Annual conference 2026 - Stronger Networks Through Modelling   iCal entry for this event

Venue

This year, we return to Nottingham’s Albert Hall Conference Centre—a Grade II-listed Edwardian venue nestled in the historic Castle Quarter. Famed for its striking period architecture and seamless integration of modern amenities, the Albert Hall provides a unique and inspiring setting for our conference. Thursday 20th November - Workshop – Albert Hall Conference Centre - “Leakage & Customer Minutes Lost”

This year’s workshop will explore how modelling can support two key challenges in our water networks: reducing leakage and minimising customer minutes lost (CML).

The workshop will be split into two focused sessions:

Session 1: Supply Interruptions & Customer Minutes Lost

We’ll examine how modelling is currently used to accurately report incidents, assess their impact, and support improvements in how we manage supply interruptions and CML.

Session 2: Leakage & Modelling

This session will delve into the role of modelling in leakage detection and reduction; to understand how data-driven tools and models can enhance decision-making and operational response.

Each session will include presentations of key ideas and concepts, followed by interactive roundtable discussions aimed at brainstorming how we can better leverage modelling tools to meet these challenges.
