SUP Introduction 4 May 17:45pm
SUP Introduction on Bank Holiday Monday 4 May - meet 5.45pm for 6pm start.
Run by British Canoeing SUP Instructor and Leader James Mitchelmore
Our SUP Inductions are designed for members who are new to paddleboarding or have no prior SUP experience on moving water. The session will last at least 2 hours and will include a land-based briefing as well as time on the water. You will be using our club paddleboards.
Wetsuits and buoyancy aids are mandatory. You can borrow anything you need from the DYC clothing cages – please allow extra time if you need to get changed before the session.
Please meet at the DYC garage (opposite Alf's cafe) at 17:45 to kit up as the session will start very promptly at 6.00pm. James will be arriving by water on his own paddleboard. You will need the combination codes to unlock
- the Lower Street entrance door
- the clothing cages
- the SUPs
These will be given to you nearer the time - please bring them with you!
Assuming you successfully complete the Induction, we will then be able to authorise you to take out our Club SUPs independently.
Please note that SUP Introduction tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE.
