The Devon Cambridge Society is the official regional society for Cambridge University alumni who live, work or socialise in Devon.  All Cambridge University alumni are welcome to join.  SEE THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE FOR HOW TO JOIN.

We hold a series of talks and social events throughout the year with some events being held jointly with the Oxford University Society of Devon.

Each year the Society provides Awards or Grants, to help undergraduates from Devon undertake interesting projects in the Long Vacation, within an academic or humanitarian context.  In 2018 we made eight awards totalling £1,200.

The Society holds an annual Welcome to Cambridge event at the end of September for undergraduates about to go up to Cambridge and this is attended by undergraduates from Devon and the surrounding counties.

Members are welcome to bring partners to all events, and guests except when numbers are limited by the venue.

Conditions of booking

The committee of the Devon Cambridge Society has assessed the risk of the events that it organises and asks the attendees to exercise common sense when attending events.  Comfortable shoes are recommended for house and garden visits and care should be taken when going up and down steps.

Devon Cambridge Society (DCS) and its Committee do not accept any liability for any injury caused when attending a DCS event.

Refunds may be made up until the date on which the Society makes a commitment to the venue for the numbers attending.  This may be as early as three weeks before the event.  Please email the Treasurer on devoncambridgesociety@cantab.net if you are no longer able to attend an event.

Please be aware that personal data entered by you into your account on this website is password protected and only accessible by yourself and members for the time being of committee of the Devon Cambridge Society.  The data is used exclusively to keep you informed via email of DCS events and activities and to allow you to book and pay for events that you wish to attend.  Data is not shared with any other organisation, including the Cambridge Development & Alumni Relations organisation.
