Topper Week 2024
This is not a training course participants do need Stage 2 training as a starting point
There are separate fleets based on ability and experience..GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE. A good opportunity for new sailors to start racing in a fun way. Some Club boats available for sailors without a Topper. Shore-based activities if the weather is unsuitable for sailing. Family-friendly social activities in the evenings. Prize giving on Friday 23rd August.
Where: Dovey Yacht Club, The Wharf, Aberdyfi
When: In the afternoons from Monday 19th to Friday 23rd August ( in the morning GP14 Laser and Menagerie fleets race)
Registration: 1pm to 2pm on Monday 21st August at the Club
Fee: £50 for DYC members
£85 for non-members (includes a reduced junior membership)
This includes a special edition Topper Week T shirt give size on check out
As always, parental help is needed for rescue boat/dovey base and beach duties. If you can help, please contact .sailing@doveyyachtclub.org.uk
As the event has become so popular we cannot guarantee there is a club boat for everyone who wants one. We have only about 12 toppers. Priority is given to those who are full members and have paid the boat fee with their membership. Some others might be available from club members but cannot be guaranteed. If you would like to borrow a Club boat, please email sailing@doveyyachtclub.org.uk before booking.
Please note: To ensure a place in the event, please pay using either bank transfer, online direct debit or PayPal. This is a very popular week and booking only confirmed once payment received.
