Would you like to join us at Forest Edge, Mon 3rd to Weds 5th Aug for lots of riding, fun and friendship?
Initially we're going to offer 16 full camp training places and 8 mini camp training places. Additionally, there's plenty of room for people who'd like to come for a hacking holiday and explore the miles of off-road, forest tracks which lead directly from the centre. If you want to come and miss getting a training place, or have got other options that you would like us to consider, please get in touch. The camp is open to adults and juniors aged 12+.
Well behaved dogs are welcomed but must be kept on a short lead.
Option A - Full Training Camp - £270 for members, £300 for non-members. This includes arrival Monday morning, lunch, two training sessions Monday afternoon, two nights stabling, a further three training sessions which could be group or pairs, flat training and poles/jumping, all meals and on the final afternoon an optional fun competition, which will be a mix of jumping and flatwork.
Option B - Mini Training Camp - £170 for members, £190 for non-members. This includes arrival on Tuesday morning, 1 training session am, lunch, 1 training session pm, dinner, overnight stable, breakfast, day stable, 1 training session am then depart.
Option C - Hacking - £160 for members, £190 for non-members. This includes two nights stabling, all meals and the optional fun competition.
Non-riding family and friends - £60, which is for all your meals.
Accomodation. There is space for tents if you like camping or you could 'camp' in your trailer or bring a caravan or stay in lorries. Forest Edge has lodges. We have 2 rooms (1 twin and 1 single) which we can offer at £30 per person per night, please contact Elaine if you are interested in one of these. Alternatively, if you require a complete lodge these can be booked directly with Forest Edge. Haylage, shavings and elecric hook up can be booked nearer the time.
Facilities for humans. Meals will be cooked by Forest Edge staff and served in their cafe, which overlooks the main indoor arena. There is a lounge with comfy chairs and sofas, which we'll have our Camp Meetings in and is a good space for relaxing in the evening. There are two coin operated showers.
Facilities for horses. Purpose built stables with concrete floors. Taps and muck heaps are very convenient. There is no turnout but horses may be hand grazed. There are two indoor arenas and a xc field, particularly suitable for the less experienced. Access to the extensive forest hacking is via a gate by the main arena
Booking is via WebCollect and will require a deposit of £100 for riders and £30 for non-riders, to be paid by 1st May. The balance can be paid in instalments. Members will have priority until 20th April and then booking will be open for non-members.
