Junior Start Sailing 2024
This is a course for juniors and youths from 8 years upwards to learn to start to sail. By the end of it you will be able sail out and come back and gain RYA Stage 1 certification! The members cost of £60 includes instruction, use of a boat and buoyancy aid, an RYA logbook and certificate. Once stage 1 is completed members can come to our Coaching sessions which run every other Sunday morning during the season. Non-members are welcome too but the cost is £110.
There are three JSS Courses running throughout the year:
JSS1: Dedicated two day learn to sail course. 18 and 19 May (weekend).
JSS2: Four Tuesday evenings in June/July . (11,18,25 June, 2 July) arrive 1730 for 18:00 start. Ideal for school or other groups of friends to come together.
JSS3: Dedicated two day learn to sail course. 7 and 14 Sept (two Saturdays).
There are also opportunities to learn to sail during Dinghy Week.
Please note, for juniors who are 13 years old or younger, a nominated responsible adult must remain on site during the training.
