Junior & Youth Start Sailing 2026
This is a course for juniors and youths from 8 years upwards to learn to start to sail. By the end of it you will be able sail out and come back and gain RYA Stage 1 certification! The price includes instruction, use of a boat and buoyancy aid, a RYA logbook and certificate. Once stage 1 is completed members can come to our Coaching sessions which run approximately every other Sunday morning during the season. The members price for the course is £70, non-members £110.
There are three JSS Courses running throughout the year:
JSS1: Dedicated two day learn to sail course, 2 and 3 May (weekend).
JSS2: Two days during the school summer holidays (20 and 21 Aug)
JSS3: Two day learn to sail course, 12 and 13 Sept (weekend)
There are also opportunities to learn to sail during Youth Week.
Please note, for juniors who are 13 years old or younger, a nominated responsible adult must remain on site during the training.
